First Look Inside Canada’s First Zaatar w Zeit Location!

Zaatar w Zeit, it is an urban eatery franchise founded in Lebanon in 1999. Its menu variety is a mix of modern and traditional foods that satisfy every taste.

Their website description makes you want to go eat there now. It goes as follows:

“We were born in a sleepless city where culture feeds the spirit of resilience. We believe that happiness is an attitude, and this is why we strive to stay young and lighthearted. We believe that every second should be cherished and celebrated, no matter how hard things might seem sometimes.”

“Sharing the staple of Lebanese street food stamped with love is not only what we stand for. It is mostly about bringing people together and capturing those heartfelt moments every time more than anything. We know that overcoming differences and feeling included for who you are is priceless.”

Vancouver was the chosen location because it is Canada’s third-largest city, one of the world’s most livable cities, and because of its ethnic mix and food scene.

They hope of allowing non-Lebanese to taste awesome Lebanese food. The project took 2 years to complete, and they finally managed to go international.

Elie Ghobeira, Marketing Manager, stated proudly “From a bakery to a Lebanese urban eatery and a cultural anthem, and from a small branch in Sodeco to an iconic location in the heart of one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world, Vancouver. We did it!”

Yes! As promised Zaatar w Zeit officially opened in  Canada. Its new location is in downtown Vancouver at 531 Granville Street. It has opened its doors to the people of Vancouver on November 30, 2019.

They posted on social media in honor of this event, stating: “Marhaba Vancouver,
We’re extremely proud to announce the opening of our latest branch on 531 Granville street, Vancouver BC! It’s Z-Takeover.”
