The French government made a public statement this past Saturday, urging both Hezbollah and the Lebanese populace to “remain neutral” in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
The announcement came amid “grave concerns” over the escalating tensions along the Lebanon-Israel border.
The Élysée Palace, during a media briefing, emphasized the need for Hezbollah and the Lebanese community to “exercise caution to prevent Lebanon from becoming collateral damage in a broader regional conflict.”
Furthermore, France has directly appealed to Iran, asking the nation to cease its support for Hamas and to abstain from escalating the situation further.
