On Wednesday morning, the Ministry of Energy and Water increased the fuel prices in Lebanon, with the rate of the USD in the black market still floating around 34,000 LL.
The new prices are as follows:
| 95-Octane Gasoline | 592,000 LL | +1,000 LL |
| 98-Octane Gasoline | 605,000 LL | +1,000 LL |
| Diesel | 710,000 LL | +13,000 LL |
| LP Gas | 335,000 LL | +0 LL |
Earlier, the Central Bank of Lebanon had lowered the gasoline subsidization by another 15%.
Now according to the new scheme, the importing companies will now get 45% of their dollars through the Sayrafa platform on Sayrafa’s rate and 55% from the black market on its rate.
