In a recent summit, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) issued a statement highlighting concerns about Lebanon’s potential role in regional instability.
The GCC emphasized the critical need for Lebanon to avoid becoming a base for terrorist activities, drug smuggling, and other criminal operations that pose threats to regional security and stability.
The statement underlined the necessity for the Lebanese government to assert full control over its territory.
It also called for the implementation of United Nations Security Council resolutions and the Taif Agreement, ensuring that the Lebanese government is the sole authority in the country.
