Kataeb Party chief MP Sami Gemayel has called for the full deployment of the Lebanese Army along the border with Israel.
Speaking during a Joint Parliamentary Committees session, Gemayel emphasized that Lebanon could still avert being pulled into a conflict. “The Lebanese do not want war,” he stated.
The session was aimed at discussing the government’s emergency plans in light of military developments in Gaza and southern Lebanon.
Gemayel further urged that parliamentary discussions should focus on preventive measures rather than dealing with the aftermath of a potential conflict.
