The Academy Award-winning actor and director George Clooney received the American Film Institute’s (AFI) Lifetime Achievement Award during a special ceremony on June 7 in California.
Every year, the American Film Institute honors a single individual for his or her lifetime contribution to the American film industry. George Clooney received the 46th award.
In his speech, Clooney thanked the AFI which helped him start his career as an actor when he was young. He also honored his wife’s achievement as a mother and humanitarian.
