On Thursday, May 19th, 68-year-old George Haddad passed away, after having spent 2 years struggling with wounds from the Beirut Port Explosion, bringing the number of killed victims to over 240.

The explosion left him with grave bodily injuries, impaired mobility, and health complications.

The Lebanese Physically Handicapped Union mourned the deceased in a statement and accused the government of neglecting the Beirut Explosion Victims who survived and are now possible future martyrs.

The juridical system has yet to achieve justice for the victims because of the incessant obstructions from political parties.

While many wounded victims are still dealing with the consequences of the blast to this day, certain suspects were up and running for the Lebanese Parliamentary elections and securing seats.

This death comes to add to the list of sorrows that the Lebanese are enduring ever since.
