Haifa Wehbe is facing off her ex-boyfriend/former business manager Muhammed Waziry in a nasty legal battle that has been going on for months.
The famous singer accused Waziry of stealing 62 million Egyptian pounds ($4 million) from her bank account using a power of attorney that she had entrusted him with when he was working for her, reported Middle East Monitor (MEMO).
According to Egypt Independent, Wehbe’s lawyer in Egypt Yasser Kantoush stated that Waziry “transferred funds from her account to his account, according to documents, official papers, and records. Soon, more lawsuits will be filed against him.”
The lawyer stated that Wehbe will withdraw the legal claim against Waziry if he returns the funds and apologizes to her.
Apparently, Waziry had also made it so that Wehbe and her sister could no longer enter her own property.
Wehbe also accused the head of the Sheikh Zayed City Police Department in Giza for not documenting this and “failing to perform his duties.” She filed accordingly a legal complaint against him with the Ministry of Interior.
Additionally, Waziry is making claims that he and Wehbe are married, which she denies. His lawyer failed recently to present proof of the marriage to the court and the case was adjudicated.
