Lebanese Film Director Hala El Kouch Won The IDFA To Partake In Project Space

The International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) selected Hala El Kouch, a Lebanese award-winning director and photographer to take part in “Project Space”.

“Project Space” aims to support and help films and projects in the world of cinema. Out of 260 projects presented, only 16 films were chosen to take part in the 2022 version of “Project Space”, El Kouch being one of them.

The Lebanese University (LU) graduate will be participating in the film “The Place Where I Belong” which will be discussing the Beirut Blast as well as the Lebanese People’s pain and sorrow.

Hala El Kouch has won multiple awards in the world of cinema and photography, with many of her films taking part in multiple film festivals. Her film, “The Perfect Picture”, has won 6 awards, one of which was given to her by “Women Voices Now.”

The IDFA training will be held from June until September during which private courses and workshops will be given to candidates under the IDFA Academy Summer School where Hala El Kouch will receive in-depth studies.
