Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Diab has responded to a report by the Al-Akhbar newspaper saying that he had given his CV to Qatari officials.
In a statement on Wednesday, Diab‘s media office said that the newspaper, which it didn’t name, had dealt with the official’s visit to Qatar “lightly.”
This, the statement added, was “an attempt to offend the content and the results of the discussions that took place with Qatari officials, especially His Highness Prince Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, regarding helping Lebanon in these difficult circumstances it is going through.”
“It is important for the media office to affirm that what the newspaper mentioned is too ridiculous to deserve a response.”
The said newspaper had claimed in a controversial report that, during his latest visit to Qatar, caretaker PM Diab had given several Qatari officials his CV in an attempt to secure a future job after leaving his current office.
