The recent killing of George Floyd by a police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota, ignited anti-racism protests across America and the world. Coincidentally, one of Michel Hayek’s 2020 predictions seems to have come true.

During his annual TV appearance, last New Year’s Eve, Michel Hayek said the following in his USA forecast:

“A fuse of events returns us to the time of the conflict between the whites and blacks.”

For context, on May 25th, African-American citizen George Floyd was arrested by the police in Hennepin County in the state of Minnesota.

The arrest came after a shopkeeper called the cops, claiming that Floyd had been trying to make a purchase using a counterfeit $20 bill.

After arresting Floyd, officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for a prolonged period, ultimately leading to his asphyxiation from the compression on his neck and back.

Floyd’s death sparked massive ongoing demonstrations in America and other countries around the world, under the slogan “Black Lives Matter,” wherein protesters are opposing injustice and racism against black people.

Michel Hayek has just shared a new brief set of predictions for Lebanon’s remainder year, and some of them involve Israel. You can read about it here.
