Sleiman Sarkis, a 28-year-old resident of Chekka, tragically passed away on Sunday, succumbing to severe injuries he received in a shooting on November 14.
Sarkis had been hospitalized since the incident, culminating in a vendetta.
On October 8, a celebratory motorcycle procession in Chekka by Tallet Arab and Anfeh residents, marking a Palestinian victory, was unexpectedly attacked by an all-terrain vehicle, leading to injuries and hospitalizations.
Efforts to de-escalate tensions failed, and on November 14, M.A. from Tallet Arab in Anfeh shot Sarkis outside his store in Chekka.
The injured Sarkis was rushed to Notre-Dame des Secours Hospital in Jbeil, where he later died. The assailant surrendered to army intelligence on November 17.
