Hezbollah aired a video of ships used by the Israeli offshore oil and gas industry this Sunday, reportedly warning that they are “playing with time.”
This threat comes after a series of alleged attempts by Hezbollah to undermine negotiation efforts by threatening military escalation as the Israel-Lebanon maritime border negotiations near a conclusion.
The timing of the release of this footage coincides with the arrival of United States mediator, Amos Hochstein, in Lebanon to continue mediation efforts between Lebanon and Israel over their sea borders.
Additionally, the release comes after sources recently indicated that Hochstein’s current visit may “carries an offer that Israel accepts to give up the entire Qana field,” a significant concession thus far in the negotiations.
