Hezbollah’s media relations department announced that the televised speech by Hassan Nasrallah, the organization’s leader, scheduled for Friday evening has been postponed due to health reasons.
The department stated that Nasrallah has a flu infection that would prevent him from speaking in a normal manner.
However, he is currently receiving treatment and will speak at a Hezbollah rally next week at 6pm to commemorate the deaths of Iranian general Qasem Soleimani and Iraqi commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.
The rally will be held at a location that has yet to be announced.
Nasrallah’s illness and the postponement of his speech have caused speculation among supporters and opponents alike.
Some believe that the illness is genuine, while others suspect that it may be a cover for other issues.
