US envoy Amos Hochstein arrived in Beirut on Tuesday in an attempt to pursue talks of the cease-fire agreement between Hezbollah and Israel. Hochstein’s visit included grabbing coffee at Starbucks and strolling through the city.
Hochstein came back to Lebanon to facilitate the diplomatic efforts with high hopes for a serious opportunity to end the ongoing war.
The meetings have been deemed positive as the Lebanese group presented its approval in a newly written proposal along with some undisclosed comments.
“I’m here in Beirut to facilitate that decision, but ultimately it’s up to the parties to conclude this conflict. It is now within our grasp. As the window is open, I hope the coming days yield a resolute decision”, he told Lebanese media.
After a long and hectic day of negotiations and meetings, Hochstein was spotted at Starbucks Verdun-where many of the present customers were excited to greet him. The staff invited Hochstein for coffee, and many rushed to snap pictures with him.
He was reportedly seen having breakfast at Al-Falamanki Raoucheh and enjoying walks in Beirut. Watch the video of locals offering to pay for his coffee down below:
