. The fire will arrive to Beirut – Rafic Hariri International Airport at 8:00 PM from Amman, Jordan. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre is the place where Jesus was crucified, buried, and resurrected. It’s a major pilgrimage center for Christians all over the world. Orthodox tradition holds that the Holy Fire miraculously happens every year a day before Orthodox Easter. The light emanates within Christ’s tomb. A special plane takes the fire to countries that have large Orthodox populations.
