In Durham University, which is located in England, 175 students are part of the Hummus Society.
It all started when the founder of the club, Naomi Green, noticed that a lot of her friends are huge fans of hummus. They often tag each other in hummus-related memes!
Hummus Society quickly became a huge success! The members gather a few times a month and socialize while eating hummus!
It’s a fun way to relax and meet new people without using social media.
It also rose to national fame in a single day after a BBC interview highlighted their love for hummus. Naomi Green just said it in simple confident words to BBC: “I just really love hummus!”
