The Israeli Defense forces posted on Twitter a call addressed to Wikipedia to edit its article on Hezbollah to label it as a “terrorist organization”.
Through their twitter account, the IDF noted that the Wikipedia page should reflect the Iran-backed group‘s identification by 26 countries as a terrorist organization.
Hezbollah‘s current English Wikipedia entry describes it as “a Shia Islamist political party and militant group,” adding that many countries have designated it as a terrorist entity.
The IDF’s request to the online encyclopedia comes after they posted multiple “last-minute” Valentine’s cards, with Hezbollah’s leader Nasrallah being the main target.
