The volunteer-based hub Impact Lebanon Foundation, which was established by the diaspora in the UK, has now launched a university scholarship fund to help Lebanese students continue their education during the ongoing dire crisis.
According to the foundation, the education sector is the most affected by the crisis, and as the result, many students are now unable to afford their education in top-notch private universities in Lebanon.
The launching of the Impact Lebanon Foundation Scholarship Fund aims to help unprivileged students by initiating an endowment fund, to ensure sustainable and continuous help to students in need.
It is to note that in response to the Beirut Blast and its massive detrimental consequences, Impact Lebanon managed to raise, back in October 2020, over $8 million for Beirut relief.
It has now activated crowdfunding for the scholarship fund, asking for a monthly or one-off donation to help this project succeed and help as many students as they can, and ensure that Lebanese students get the education they deserve.
The non-profit organization will later share more information about the project through its Instagram account.
