An Internal Security Forces (ISF) policeman was found dead in a car on Tuesday morning.

The body was found in a Kia Picanto car in the Achrafieh area in Beirut, with a gunshot wound in the chest.

Lebanese Civil Defense members later arrived at the scene and transported the body to the hospital, and security forces set up a security cordon in the area of the incident.

The deceased, identified as Adjutant-in-chief “S.F.,” was reportedly on his way to work when the incident that led to his death took place, near the Adliyeh road.

An investigation has been launched, pending the final report of the forensic pathologist working on the case.
