Two individuals were arrested in the Israeli kibbutz Yiftah for allegedly crossing the border from Lebanon, the Arabic spokesperson of the Israeli army Avichay Adraee announced on Thursday.
Adraee said in a Tweet that he ruled out a “security incident” and that they “will keep working to prevent any attempt to cross the border and violating Israel‘s sovereignty.”
Adraee said the investigation into the matter was still ongoing and that the two individuals were arrested by military personnel.
Arrests on the border between Israel and Lebanon are not uncommon.
