The world has just witnessed a brutal attack on the freedom of the press and journalists at the hands of the state of Israel.
Israel gave people around an hour of warning to evacuate the Jalaa Tower in Gaza that houses the offices of international media outlets, including The Associated Press and Al-Jazeera.
The tower also included private homes.
While the tower was evacuated, the material damage is reportedly unlimited. Residents, journalists, and media people looked on as their homes and offices came down.
Israeli military gave no reason why it decided to bring down the tower, shutting down or off the international media outlets reporting from Gaza.
It is being regarded as a blunt attack on the freedom of the press.
