The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) claimed on Monday to have intercepted a drone that entered its airspace from Lebanon.

The IDF alleges that the drone belonged to Hezbollah and warned in a tweet that “Israeli sovereignty” would not be violated despite attacks:

“IDF soldiers spotted, monitored, and downed the drone. We will continue to operate to prevent any attempt to violate Israeli sovereignty.”

No further details were given on how the drone was downed.

This incident occurred some three weeks after the IDF downed four UAVs launched by Hezbollah amid Lebanon maritime border negotiations.

Hezbollah has not released any official comments regarding the incident as of now.
