Israel Used Lebanese Airspace To Target Iranian-Backed Militias In Syria (Video)

SANA

Citing Syrian military defectors, Reuters reported that the Israeli airstrikes may have targeted Iranian-backed militias in the Homs province of Syria along the Lebanese border.

Syria’s state media outlets claimed that its air defenses had intercepted an Israeli attack coming from Lebanese airspace.

Initial reports suggest strikes only resulted in material damage, however, ambulances were seen heading to the areas of the strikes.

The Israeli military did not acknowledge the attack, however, it is not the first time it strikes Syria from Lebanese airspace. A similar one was reported in May.

In April, the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced Israel’s use of its airspace to attack Syria.
