The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Israeli Defense Ministry have announced plans to evacuate an additional 14 communities situated close to the Lebanese border.
This decision comes in the wake of ongoing rocket and missile attacks by Hezbollah and Palestinian militias over the past two weeks.
The Israeli National Emergency Management Authority (NEMA) stated that the residents would be relocated to state-funded guesthouses. Previously, NEMA had initiated the evacuation of 28 communities within a 2-kilometer radius of the Lebanese border, including the city of Kiryat Shmona.
The 14 newly identified communities for evacuation include Snir, Dan, and Beit Hillel, among others. IDF spokesperson warned that the escalating attacks risk “dragging Lebanon into a war.”
