The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) just fired towards the Lebanese Army at the southern Lebanese border, local media reported.
In addition to reportedly firing bullets, they also threw a stun grenade at Lebanese Army intelligence patrol moving near the technical fence separating Lebanon and Occupied Palestine near the “Al-Manara” neighborhood.
This is the IDF’s first direct attack threatening Lebanese soldiers who have been working to deescalate tensions along the border and implement strict security measures in order to prevent problems.
At the moment of writing, the IDF is throwing tear gas towards protesters and Lebanese Army soldiers who are standing at the southern border.
There are preliminary reports that a protester was injured after climbing the fence to plant the Palestinian flag.
