Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid demanded on Tuesday that the Lebanese government restrain Hezbollah or else Israel will be forced to do so.

Many saw Lapid’s words as a direct threat, especially after he added that whoever launched those drones should know that they are putting their safety at unnecessary risk.

Lapid also stated that he would discuss what happened near the Karish Gas Field with French President Emanuel Macron in their upcoming meeting.

In turn, the Vice Head of the Lebanese Parliament, Elias Bou Saab, criticized Hezbollah’s drone launch by calling it “unacceptable”. This came as a reiteration of the official Lebanese Government’s stance on the issue as announced by PM Najib Mikati.
