Jabal Moussa Biosphere Reserve

is located in Mount Lebanon. This reserve aims to protect its biodiversity which comprises 750 species of flowers and trees and a large wildlife. The reserve and the surrounding villages are part of the UNESCO Network of Biosphere Reserves. Also, it is also a Global Important Bird Area (GBIA) where one can find 137 bird species. We put up a list of the 15 mammals that Jabal Moussa Reserve is housing to raise awareness about the importance of reserves in protecting the Lebanese ecosystem!
