Role Overview

961, Lebanon’s leading digital-first media outlet serving millions, is seeking an Editor to join our creative and energetic team.

The ideal candidate will support the content team by generating timely ideas, editing articles and translations, ensuring our high standards are met, and coordinating various content teams. This role is primarily focused on light and fun content..

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and review articles and translations to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to our guidelines.
• Collaborate with the content team to brainstorm and develop fresh, engaging ideas.
• Uphold high editorial standards for all written materials.
• Work with multiple content teams to maintain smooth communication and ensure deadlines are met.
• Contribute by writing articles when necessary to support the content calendar.

Requirements

• 3+ years in a professional writing or editing role in media.
• A bachelor’s degree in media, communications, journalism, or a related field is preferred.
• Fluent in English and Arabic; French is a significant advantage.
• Excellent time management and coordination skills.
• A sharp eye for detail and a passion for quality content.
