NNA reported that a number of employees of the Kadisha Electricity Company stormed the First National Bank (FNB) in Tripoli, in protest against the bank’s decision to deduct 3% of the employees’ salaries and entitlements.
At a time when all transactions within the bank stopped, the negotiation process began between the bank’s management and a delegation from the Kadisha Employees Union.
The employees announced that the bank “has not handed over their salaries until now and wants to deduct 3% of them and other dues, which is equivalent to 500,000 L.L.”
They stressed that they “will not allow this and will remain inside the bank until its administration retracts its unjust decision.”
