Lebanese influencer Karen Wazen and Emirati womenswear designer Madiyah Al-Sharqi have teamed up to release a lively ready-to-wear collection inspired by the 1970s.

They have revived the 70s trend with a modern twist, producing feminine and asymmetrical dresses and coordinated sets of miniskirts and crop tops, and shorts. The 1970s iconic wide-legged pants and flowy ‘hippie’ styles were not missed in their collection.

The Lebanese Dubai-based content creator and eyewear designer Karen Wazen is one of the most influential fashionistas in the MENA region, having more than 7 million followers on Instagram alone.

Her influence in the world of fashion and beauty accessories has been as significant that she was recently selected by Roberto Cavalli to be the new face of its fragrances in January 2022.

Madiyah Al-Sharqi, daughter of the Emirate of Fujairah’s ruler Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sharqi, launched her label in 2012. She collaborated with Karen Wazen last year, producing yet another trendy collection.
