As the winter season approaches Lebanon, King Salman’s Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed winter clothes, benefitting over 5,645 vulnerable Lebanese people.
As part of the humanitarian and relief projects being provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 2,258 blankets and 1,129 winter bags were distributed on Firday, according to Al Riyadh daily.
Established in 2015, King Salman set up the center within the framework of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to alleviate the suffering of those in need worldwide.
This isn’t the first kind act directed by KSrelief to Lebanon. Earlier this month, the center highlighted its willingness to help the most vulnerable children living in Lebanon by donating an emergency aid of US$ 1.2 million to assist UNICEF’s inclusion program in Lebanon.
Even after Beirut’s tragic port explosion, KSrelief responded by providing medical and humanitarian assistance, sending two planes with loaded supplies. The supplies included medical equipment, medicine, emergency kits, tents, shelter kits, and food packages.
Not just that, but King Salman’s center also showed great kindness by donating medical equipment and supplies to the Dinnieh’s Governmental Hospital that grappled with a shortage of medical equipment after the August 4th explosion.
