Last call from Minister of Foreign Affairs for voter registration!

For the last time, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Gebran Bassil is asking the Lebanese Diaspora to register to vote in the 2018 parliamentary elections which will be held in May. It is the first time that the Lebanese nationals who are residing abroad will be able to cast their votes outside of Lebanon. The electoral law says that at least 200 people should register to vote in a specific country for the election post (embassy or consulate) to open. If this isn’t the case in your area, you can still vote in the nearest election post or in Lebanon.

Bassil also called the Lebanese people who are living in Lebanon to encourage their relatives that are living abroad to exercise their right and duty to vote. It’s a way to build Lebanon the way we have always dreamed. You can register online via the Lebanese Diaspora Vote

website

, or via the MOFA mobile application which is available on

iTunes

 and

Google Play

. Registration is easy; it will take you only a few minutes. Another option is to register with the nearest Lebanese embassy.

Registration closes on November 20 at 11:59 PM Beirut local time.
