Hind Taher, a Lebanese actress with a long, bright, and creative history in the Lebanese cinema passed away on Tuesday, April 7th, after a long battle against cancer.
Since her debut in the field of acting in the 60s, Hind Taher performed in many series and films that every Lebanese hold close to heart, co-starring with several major artists such as Majid Afyouni, Feryal Karim, Duraid Lahham, and Farid Shawky.
This classic Lebanese star had a rich and productive life. She was born on June 22nd, 1944, and discovered her artistic calling through school theater.
Despite her family’s opposition, she led a successful career in professional acting, starring also in several Lebanese/Egyptian films and series.
Among her works are Thawret Al Fallahin (2018), Aashra Aabid Zghar (2014), Amelia (2013), Rsasa Taycheh (2009), Arba’ Mjanin W Bass (1982), El Donya Hek (1976), Al Daya3 (1971), Forsan El Gharam (1968), among many other series and films that every Lebanese hold close to heart.
This actress was an active part of that beautiful and artistic period in Lebanon and many artists took the news of her passing heavily.
The Syndicate of Professional Artists in Lebanon mourned “with all sorrow and sadness the fellow actress Hind Taher,” sending their deepest condolences to her loved ones.
Hind’s family will be accepting condolences only by phone as a precautionary measure due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Lebanon.
