Judge Ghada Aoun issued an order to security forces to bring in Lebanese actress Stephanie Saliba for questioning for central bank chief Riad Salameh allegedly purchasing luxury real estate for her.
According to Reuters, the order was made as part of an ongoing investigation into Salameh for allegedly money laundering and embezzlement, stating that Saliba has not been charged with any crimes.
Earlier this year, Judge Aoun issued an order to freeze some of Salameh’s assets. In March, she filed charges against him for illegal enrichment and money laundering.
Salameh’s house was then raided by security forces in June, which was reportedly orchestrated to issue a subpoena from Judge Aoun for the investigation.
