ERC Triathlon Ready To Kick Off In Beirut

The 8th edition of the annual Lebanese Army Commander Triathlon Cup – ERC Triathlon is set to take place in Beirut this weekend.

The event, organized by the Elite Running Club (ERC) under the supervision of the Lebanese Triathlon Federation, is a multisport competition (swimming, cycling, and running) that will be held at the Central Military Club in Ras Beirut.

Athletes from various clubs and military branches and of different age groups will participate in the competition, at the end of which there will be a distribution of cups and rewards.

Dr. Ahmad Khalife, Secretary-General of the Lebanese Triathlon Federation, has said in a statement that preparations for the event are running in full swing.

The 8th edition of the annual Lebanese Army Commander Cup is set to take place in Beirut this weekend.

With that said, he has encouraged heavy participation in the triathlon, which is one of many activities that will be organized by Lebanon’s triathlon federation this year.

The Lebanese Army Commander Triathlon Cup will kick off on Sunday, April 11th, at 7 AM and go on for 3 hours until 10 AM.

According to the ERC, the roads will be closed at 5:30 am and the transition will be open from 5:45 am. Participants are required to be on-site around 5:45 am and 6:15 am at the most.

Mask is mandatory and no spectators will be allowed in the Bain Militaire.

It’s worth noting that Lebanese Armed Forces Commander Gen. Joseph Aoun recently sponsored the international Small Evolving Ski Nations Cup that was hosted in Bcharre and which Lebanon ended up winning.
