On Wednesday, April 15th, the Lebanese army found an old unexploded mortar shell in the northern town of Zgharta, according to the National News Agency.

A military expert was called to the scene to safely detonate it and restore security to the site.

In another report, the NNA said that an explosion was heard in the south. “A loud boom was heard throughout the Abra area,” the report said.

This sound was the army also detonating an old mortar shell in Sharhabil, a region located northeast of Sidon.

The report added that the army also found an old mortar shell south of Sidon in the Eng. Mohammad Al-Saudi park.
