The Lebanese Army Command Mourned The Captain Drowned In Hamat Sea Northern Lebanon

The Lebanese Army Command mourned one of its captains, George Tarbey, who drowned on September 17th during diving at sea.

In the details, the deceased captain was practicing diving with two young men who later got out of the water, while the captain did not come out.

Divers from the Sea Commandos Regiment and from the Jounieh Naval Base were sent to the site to search for him, only to find his body later in the Hamat sea.

Captain Tarabey was born on 08/08/1989 in the city of Jbeil, he volunteered in the army on 10/14/2008, and was promoted to lieutenant on 01/08/2011, then was promoted to the rank of captain as of 01/01/2019.

He is a holder of several medals and the Army Commander’s acknowledgment and congratulations several times.
