On Thursday, the Lebanese Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, received in his office in Yarzeh the Secretary-General of Catholic Schools and President of the Union of Private Educational Institutions, Father Youssef Nasr.

They agreed that the army soldiers would be exempted from the private schools’ decision related to paying part of the school fees for the next academic year in dollars because their salaries are still limited and paid in Lebanese pounds.

Father Nasr assured General Aoun that he will communicate with donors to secure as much as possible the military’s share of the expected additions to school loads in dollars, taking into account their economic conditions and respect for their sacrifices.
