Lebanese Army Subject To Open Fire In Bekaa

On Monday, the Lebanese Army announced in a statement that one of its units was subject to open fire in Faara Valley, Bekaa.

After receiving intel on a stolen Kia Cerato in the Faara Valley on Sunday, a unit was sent to the area. An unknown individual driving the stolen car accompanied by a motorbike without a plate opened fire at the Lebanese soldiers.

The soldiers responded to the source of fire, which led to the injury of the motorbike driver. The car driver escaped and both the car and motorbike were seized.

The injured man was sent to the hospital for treatment where he was identified as Y.N, an outlaw wanted for theft.

An investigation is ongoing with the detained under the supervision of the relevant judiciary.
