The Beirut Museum of Art (BeMA) is implementing the first edition of its initiative Art Surge in 6 Lebanese Public Schools.

Under the theme of “Connect Through Art: Tomorrow in the Making,” BeMA is working in partnership with the Lebanese Education Ministry to give Public School students a chance to be changemakers through art.

Art Surge aims at giving tailor-made intensive sessions by experienced artists to transform the current educational system into a place connecting arts with reality.

BeMA initiative also helps at addressing the uncertain future and attempts at setting new steps for change.

The innovative Beirut Museum of Art (BeMA) is a first-of-its-kind concept in Lebanon, as it is a modern and contemporary art museum scheduled to open in 2026.

The Museum will be an interactive public space, featuring art galleries, halls, a library, and archives, showcasing art from regional and international artists.

BeMA will also provide artists with affordable co-working spaces, as well as studios to enhance creativity and artistic works.
