Three Lebanese athletes participated in the U23 Mediterranean Athletics Championships, in Pescara, Italy, held between September 10 and September 11, 2022.
Lebanese athletes Haya Kobrosly, Marc-Anthony Ibrahim, and Munir Kabbara achieved advanced rankings, as follows:
- Haya Kobrosly took the 6th place after clocking 12.08s, wind: +0.8m/s, in the 100m;
- Munir Kabbara also took the 6th place as he marked 4:17.08 m. in the 1500m;
- Marc-Anthony Ibrahim scored 5th place, marking 52.17s in the 400mH.
It is worth mentioning that Marc-Anthony Ibrahim previously set a new record during the Lebanese Open Clubs Athletics Federation Cup 2022, clocking 50.91s. in the 400mH.
Ibrahim, along with Jana Termos, also succeeded in setting a new national record in the 400mH Men as he clocked 50.97s during Inter Lebanon meeting.
