Lebanese-Australian footballer shaves his beard for a good cause

Josh Mansour is a famous Lebanese Australian footballer who plays for the Penrith Panthers in the National Rugby League. This week, he will be putting his 

beard brush

away since, he shaved his beard for the first time since October 2014. Josh took part in the Decembeard campaign which raises awareness about bowel cancer in Australia.

The athlete’s goal was to raise 10,000$ for this cause and shave his beard once he reaches the amount. He raised $10,453.98 in total. According to

, he is “the highest fundraiser in Australia this year.” His wife’s uncle and his friend’s sister have battled bowel cancer, so he felt that he needs to get involved. Kudos to Josh!
