23-years-old Lebanese-Australian Grace Rached was one of more than 150 people who died at the South Korean Halloween parade stampede.
The accident happened after a huge crowd surged through a narrow alleyway Seoul’s Itaewon, a party district, to celebrate the first Halloween event in three years.
According to her friend, Grace was traveling ahead of her 24th birthday.
“We are missing our gorgeous angel Grace who lit up a room with her infectious smile. Grace always made others feel important and her kindness left an impression on everyone she ever met,” stated her family.
This was one of the deadliest stampede incidents in South Korean history. More than 130 people were injured, according to local media reports.
