The submarine from India is supervising the start of its operation to extract the Boat of Death that sank on April 23, 2022, off the coast of Tripoli, north of Lebanon.
This submarine is equipped with modern communication technologies and advanced capabilities to work in the deep sea.
For this purpose, an operation room was established in the Tripoli Maritime Center inside the port, which allows the accurate follow-up of the towing process.
The Lebanese naval forces will also participate in this process in coordination with the submarine’s crew regarding various logistical aspects.
Colonel Haitham Al-Dinawi confirmed today from the port of Tripoli that, “the submarine sailed about an hour ago and reached the exact spot where the boat sank off the coast of Tripoli, which was carrying illegal emigrants.”
It is worth mentioning that the remaining bodies belong to the women and children who were on the boat.
