Lebanese Boxer Just Won A Championship And Dedicated It To South Lebanon


Nassib Iyad Hmede, a K1 kickboxing and Muay Thai professional claimed victory in the Arabian Combat Sports league, boasting an impressive record of 10 wins and six knockouts.

Defeating Senegal’s Mouhamed Tafsir, Hmede proudly accepted the championship belt, covering his shoulders with both the Lebanese and Palestinian flags.

His triumph resonated as a symbol of resilience amidst the ongoing conflict, paying homage to the resilience and sacrifice of South Lebanon’s people.

Reflecting on his win, Hmede expressed mixed emotions, stating his victory brings joy, yet the hearts are heavy. Even as they celebrate, South Lebanon faces destruction and loss.
