This Lebanese Cafe in Beirut Gives Free Food To The Homeless & Syrian Refugees

Bonheur Du Ciel is a Lebanese charity that is running a cafe in Lebanon to help the homeless as well as the Syrian refugees. They offer good food for free to help those in need. There are currently 1.5 million Syrian refugees registered with the UNHCR. However, the estimated number is closer to 2 million – which is an equivalent to just under 50% of the population in Lebanon. The United Nations has been cutting back on their programs and aids for the refugees putting more pressure on the limited Lebanese government and local NGO’s. This cafe is doing its part and serves about 200 people a day.
