The delegation of the Lebanese Universities Sports Federation (FSUL) returned from Turkey after participating in the 2022 FISU University World Cup.
Lebanon’s delegation consisted of Khalil Zaarour, Fatima Hassan, and coach Kassem el Khatib.
During the tournament, which was held in the Turkish city of Samsun, the Lebanese Muaythai fighter Carmina El Sayed from the American University of Beirut (AUB) won the Bronze medal in Combat Sports.
It is worth noting that, in 2015, Mohamed Fneish was able to score a historic win, as he achieved the gold medal in the University World Cup, which was held in Thailand back then.
