A fire broke out in El Dannieh, north Lebanon, across a field of dry plants and forest trees in an area that lies between Haql el Aazime town and Bayt Jayde in Aasoun.
The flames have reportedly spread across the farmland and burnt down several fruit trees.
The Lebanese Civil Defense volunteers managed to contain the fire before it reached residential areas.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in Lebanon has earlier warned of the possibility of fires spreading in forested areas due to an unseasonal rise in temperature, expected as of Thursday, May 26th.
