Lebanese Civil Defense members spent nearly two hours working to save a person who got stuck between rocks at sea on Sunday.
The man, who had gotten stranded while swimming, suffered bruises while trying to get out of a rocky area off the coast of Aamchit in the Byblos District of Mount Lebanon.
It took Civil Defense personnel from 5 PM until 6:45 PM to successfully pull the injured man out, according to a statement issued by the General Directorate of Lebanese Civil Defense.
The rescuers had to use ropes and special rescue equipment in order to reach and extract him safely back on land.
Paramedics, who had arrived at the scene on a motorcycle ambulance, gave him first aid while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.
The man was later transported to the Al-Maounat Hospital in Byblos for him to receive the required medical attention.
